From the Principal

It is an honour to introduce you to Glen Dhu Primary School. Our school serves a vibrant, diverse community and our school population reflects that diversity. As an inclusive school our students span the range of capabilities. What draws us together is a commitment to every child achieving their best.

Our school holds high expectations of everyone in all aspects of learning, behaviour and dress. Four simple school rules guide our actions:

Be Safe          Be Fair          Be Your Best          and Care.

Our school buildings and grounds are exceptional. We have greatly benefitted from the Building the Education Revolution funding which enabled us to remodel our Early Childhood Education facilities to facilitate 21st century education. This came only a year after our Primary classrooms and administration area were also remodelled. Our grounds are large and we appreciate the many European trees planted by our forefathers.

With a focus on ICT, our teaching is moving towards implementation of the New Australian Curriculum. We have an interactive whiteboard in every classroom and students have ready access to computer technology. We are proud of the outcomes achieved by our students, some of which are reflected in the data on the MySchool website.

Our school has a calm, welcome atmosphere and we believe positive relationships enhance outcomes. We appreciate working closely with the families who entrust their children to our care.
